Project: Residential development of 2nd homes

Introduction
San Juan is a small 'pueblo' (community) of about 500 inhabitants and is located at the road from Santiago to Santa Fe in the province of Veraquas. San Juan has a typical ‘country side’ atmosphere with beautiful nature, much space and which gives the chance to 'go back to the basis'. New Amsterdam planned to do this project. New Amsterdam will provide luxurious, spacious and special homes for Panamanians looking for a second home in the country side.
What makes San Juan so special?
• San Juan is located at the road which in the future will connect the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean (timeline estimated 10 years). It is already possible to drive to the Atlantic with an off road car in dry season and the government has approved the making of the road and has already started the project. As the government has big plans to develop the Atlantic coast with a new harbor, a road along the cost and stimulation of tourism, the road from Santiago will definitely connect to the Atlantic Ocean in the near future.
• San Juan/the land is located at the relatively big river Gatu with water coming from the mountains. The lote has water at two sides, with two some kind of corners which offers a long river side. The water is running, clear and offers perfect swimming water, views etc.
• A nice detail is that the old road to Santa Fe (Carreterra Antigo) passes here and there are still remains of the road to be seen.
• The land is located in some kind of valley with a nice, refreshing breeze on the higher points.
The Project
San Juan is not typically a tourist area, however offers pure nature, peaceful environment and is beautifully located at the river, close to the main road and definitely a good investment on the longer run.
The park will have 20 houses of different sizes and the setup will be spacious, private with easy access to the river and the public green areas with many fruit trees. The houses will have at least the following:
• 3 bed rooms with bath rooms
• A living room with open kitchen
• A small room for maid and/or storage with small bath room Each house is accessible by a path/road (not hardened) and has 4 parking spaces
• Big terrace (covered)
• Construction area 150 to 200m2 (depending on the model).
• Optional: a swimming pool
The houses are made of natural materials, a lot of wood and 'country side' like and all good quality with the necessary luxury.
